What's up, everybody out of here with Etrailer today, we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT Trailer Ball. When it comes to trailer balls, there's a couple of things we need to make sure of, to make sure it's gonna work. One, this is an 1-7/8 size, so make sure to check your coupler, make sure that it is the right size, and also keep in mind the weight that you're working with. It's gonna have a 2000 pound weight limit, and with that, that's just gonna make sure that the ball's in the right size, and it's gonna be able to handle some of the weight that you have on your trailer. And then another thing that really matters is the ball mount. So we are gonna have to pick one out, and one thing we need to make sure of is of course, we wanna pair it up with the weight rating of the ball to make sure that the ball mount is not gonna be limiting us at all, and also with the plate that amounts to, it needs to be in between 3-7/8 inch to 7-7/8 inch thick, anything more than that it's not gonna work, anything less isn't gonna work either. more

Brad Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Draw-Tite two inch ball. Now this is a 3/4 inch diameter and the shank length is gonna be 1 9/16. This is gonna be a Class I and Class II ball, so it's gonna be great for towing some smaller trailers. Now this ball is a 3,500 gross trailer weight rating, and this is gonna be great for your Class I and II, so smaller cars and vehicles can be able to tow this, especially if you have an inch and 1/4 hitch. Now this can fit on ball mounts that are anywhere from 3/8 to 5/8 inch thick. Now this ball is rated at 3,500 pounds, which is gonna be great for a teardrop trailer just like this, but it's one part of many parts of towing components that you need to make sure is up to that number to make sure it's safe. more

Today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt 1 7/8 inch diameter hitch ball with the 3/4 inch diameter shank, and a 2,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this hitch ball will provide the connection point for your 1 7/8 inch trailer's coupler, and will accept up to a 2,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. On the shank of the ball, has the fine threads on it that provide a nice tight, strong grip. And the dimensions on the shank, the length of it, it's gonna be right at 1 5/8 inches long, and the diameter on it is right at 3/4 of an inch. Now, this ball is constructed from a high strength hot forged steel, you can see it has a nice corrosion resistant chrome finish to it, and if you notice on the sides, the two flat ends here, these built-in wrench flats make it easy to hold the ball in place while you're tightening down the nut. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at Draw-Tite's one and seven eighths inch hitch ball with a three quarter inch shank. This ball is designed to work with both Class I and Class II hitches. With a maximum towing capacity of 2000 pounds, that makes it perfect for our Class I trailer here that also accepts a one and seven eighths inch ball. We can just slide it down on there and it snaps in place keeping it nice and secure. Today we're going to take a look at the replacement two inch hitch ball for the Curt secure latch pinto hook. Now this part will replace the hitch ball that's on your Curt secure latch combination pinto hitch with the hitch ball. This accepts two inch couplers. Also, it will accept the lunette ring with either a two and a half inch or three-inch inside diameter. As you can see, it does include the washer and the nut for installation. It does have a nice corrosion resistant zinc finish on both the ball and the hardware.When you go to install this, you'll drop it through, put your washer up, and then take your nut and go ahead and tighten that down to the factory torque specs.A few specs on this, the diameter of ball is two inches. more

Now this hitch ball installs onto your ball mount, provides the connection point for your trailer's coupler. This does use the fine threads to provide an exceptionally tight and strong grip. It's made of a cold forged steel, which is very strong and durable and you can notice it has a nice corrosion resistant Chrome finish to it. These flat edges right here, these are built in wrench flats, make it very easy to hold the ball in place while you're tightening the nut.Does include the lock washer and the nut, so when you go to install this, you'll drop this through the ball hole in your ball mount. Put your washer on, take your nut, go ahead and install your nut and then tighten your nut all the way down until it tightens up and then torque it to the manufacturer specifications. more
